Huge thanks to Rebecca for using her precious energy to educate second-year physiotherapy students at Cork University about M.E. and Long Covid. We truly appreciate her dedication and all she does for Hope 4 ME & Fibro Northern Ireland.

" This morning I presented my journey with Long Cxxvid to 2nd year physiotherapy students at Cork University. With my nursing background I use these sessions to share my experience as a patient & what I feel could be done better with regards treating someone with LC or ME. I talk about my symptoms highlighting post exertional malaise & the dangers of 'pushing through' & graded exercise therapy.

These sessions take an awful lot out of me....physically because using the computer to prepare & present it exhausts me but also mentally because I'm talking about my condition that is no better than it was 6 & a half years ago, the gaslighting I have experienced & sadness that this has happened to me & many others yet we are still often disbelieved.

I'm passionate about educating health care students about LC & ME because they are the future of the NHS & they can make a difference to how we are treated going forward within their area of work.

Thank you to Hope 4 ME & Fibro Northern Ireland for giving me these opportunities with Cork University, Queens University Belfast & University of Ulster & for the universities to include these illnesses in their teaching course."
