Queens University Belfast UNREST

We are proud to be hosting this important M.E. education event at Queen’s University Belfast, held in the Medical Biology Centre, reaching 1st year medical students during development weeks and at the very start of their careers.

We have been delivering this education since 2017 (pausing only during Covid lockdowns) — steadily working to ensure that each new cohort of medical students begins with a clearer, evidence-based understanding of M.E.

For too long, people living with M.E. have faced misunderstanding, delayed diagnosis, and at times unsafe advice — not through lack of care, but through lack of education.

That is why this matters.

This is about ensuring that tomorrow’s doctors:
* recognise M.E. as a serious, complex condition
* understand post-exertional malaise as the defining feature
* deliver safe, evidence-based care aligned with NICE NG206

This is how the system begins to change — not just through awareness, but through knowledge, understanding, and clinical practice.

Together, we are building a future where people with M.E. are believed, protected, and properly supported.

Educating future doctors is where real change begins.
