May 12th Awareness Lisburn
Lagan Valley Island and Union Bridge will be illuminated blue in support of International Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) & Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Fibromyalgia are chronic diseases with no known cause or cure that can severely impact upon a person's ability to live a normal life. Hope 4 ME & Fibro Northern Ireland is an all volunteer, patient led charity, supported by their family members, medical and scientific experts.
Councillor Brian Higginson, Chair of Corporate Services voiced his support by saying, “Hope 4 ME & Fibro Northern Ireland’s fundraising helps thousands of people in Northern Ireland. Tonight is an opportunity to recognise and support the charity’s vital work and to raise awareness of ME and Fibromyalgia”.
